My Shadows

The loneliness is suffocating...

This fear that consumes me

Like fiery torment

Existing throughout my body

It shapes the way I perceive this world

"You are not enough"

I honor my shadows

The lies she tells me

As she whispers in the night

I feel her in my heart

With this sharp tension

Like a knife

She cuts

I honor my shadows

Crying and bleeding out

Cracked like broken glass

Fragile, lying on a cold, hard surface

Lost

Broken

Grieving

I honor my shadows

Seeking love

Seeking acceptance

Seeking validation

All she wants in this life

To be loved

To be heard

I honor my shadows

Fear

Anxiety

Manipulation

Control

Uncertainty

Panic

I honor my shadows

I feel her, flowing through me

I sense the duality within me

The light

The dark

I feel it all

And value her divinity

I honor my shadows

She needs love

She needs light

She needs laughter

Like a warm embrace

I can heal
